On Friday, the Food Network announced it will not renew its contract with celebrity chef Paula Deen. Following the firestorm that erupted after racial comments she made in a videotaped deposition last month became public. Deen, who had been with the network since 1999, released a videotaped statement apologizing for the comments about two hours before the network announced its decision. However, shortly after that video was released, it was removed from Youtube and Deen posted a second apology.
